  • Mold design: According to the specific shape, size, and function of the broom head, design a suitable mold. The mold has two parts, top and bottom, to form the shape of the broom head.

Raw material preparation

Injection Molding Process

  • Heating: The plastic granules are fed into the charging cylinder of the injection molding machine through the charging hopper.
  • Heating and Plasticizing: The heater inside the injection molding machine heats the plastic granules to a molten state and mixes them evenly through the rotation of the screw.
  • Injection: The screw moves forward and injects the molten plastic into the cavity of the mold through high pressure.
  • Filling and cooling: The plastic flows into the mold and fills all the cavities. Inside the mold, the plastic begins to cool and solidify, forming the shape of a broom head.
  • Holding and Cooling: After the injection is complete, the plastic inside the mold continues to hold pressure to prevent the plastic from shrinking and causing defects, while cooling continues to allow the plastic to fully cure.

Mold Release and Product Handling

  • De-molding: After the mold cools down, the mold opens and the molded broom head is removed from the mold either mechanically or manually.
  • Deburring: The product may have a small amount of burrs or workers need to trim excess plastic.

Assembled bristles

At last, plastic bristles can be inserted into the broom head by automatic or manual methods.
