whenever,injection molding machine hydraulic oil should have the following basic characteristics:
Viscosity index: above 90 to ensure good fluidity at different temperatures.
Dynamic viscosity: above 32 mm²/s to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
Grade selection: Common models include #46, #68, etc. It is not advisable to use pressure oil that is easy to foam, and mixing oils of different types and grades is forbidden.
Additives: Use oil containing anti-wear agents, antioxidants, and anti-corrosion additives to improve the performance of hydraulic oil.
Key Parameters for injection moulding machine lubrication
Viscosity
The viscosity of injection moulding lube needs to match the system pressure, low viscosity (e.g. VG 32) is suitable for high speed and light load.
And high viscosity (e.g. VG 68) is suitable for heavy load and high temperature.
Whereas,the consistency is determined by the grease cine, and the low consistency grease is required for centralized lubrication systems with high flow requirements.
Temperature resistance
Grease temperature resistance ≥ 200°C in high-temperature areas (such as mold ejector pins).
And the flash point of hydraulic oil should be more than 20% higher than the working temperature.
Wear resistance and extreme pressure
Lubricants containing extreme pressure additives such as molybdenum disulfide are required for highly loaded components (e.g. clamping cylinders).
Cleanability & Oxidation Resistance
Hydraulic fluids need to be regularly tested for moisture and contaminants to avoid sludge clogging valves.
Hydraulic oil
The injection molding machine needs the oil for the hydraulic system.
This oil will be added to the machine oil tank.
Hydraulic molding machine works under high pressure and has high friction.
So anti-wear is an important requirement for hydraulic oil injection uses.
Using anti-wear hydraulic oil can reduce the damage to the injection molding machine caused by friction, improve work efficiency, and have anti-rust and anti-oxidation effects.
We have to choose the oil depending on the weather temperatures:
- Normally temperature use: #46 anti-wear hydraulic oil
- High-temperature use: #68 anti-wear hydraulic oil
- Cold weather use: #32 anti-wear hydraulic oil
Lubrication oil:
The joints of the hydraulic molding machine need the lubrication. There are two kinds of lubrication oil:
