Types of Ejector Cylinder in injection molding

Injection molding ejector cylinder types includes floating ejector cylinder, fixed ejector cylinder, dual cylinder ejector and others.

The types of ejector cylinders of injection molding machines mainly include the following:

1. Injection molding ejector cylinder types: Floating ejector cylinder

The floating ejector cylinder is a common type of ejector mechanism, which drives the ejector plate to float through the cylinder to achieve the ejection action. For example, in the demolding of products with intermediate depth depressions, the floating ejector cylinder uses in combination with the side cylinder, which can effectively improve the demolding reliability and mold life.

2. Injection molding ejector cylinder types : Fixed ejector cylinder

The fixed ejector cylinder usually uses for simple demolding operations. Its structure is relatively stable, but it may need to be used in conjunction with other mechanisms in complex molds. For example, in some mold designs, the ejector cylinder directly drives the ejector plate to complete the ejection action.

3. Injection molding ejector cylinder types : Dual cylinder ejector

The dual cylinder ejector system usually consists of two cylinders working together, each responsible for different ejection actions. For example, in some complex molds, the first cylinder and the second cylinder drive different sliders to complete the side core pulling and ejection actions respectively.

4. Combined ejector cylinder

The combined ejector cylinder realizes complex demoulding actions by connecting multiple cylinders in series or in parallel. For example, in some molds, the ejector cylinder is used in combination with the core pulling cylinder to complete the combined action of side core pulling and ejection.

5. Ejector system driven by hydraulic cylinder

The hydraulic cylinder is the most common power source in the ejector system of the injection molding machine. Its advantages include large thrust, long stroke, and flexible control. For example, in some mold designs, the hydraulic cylinder connects the ejector plate and the piston rod through an electromagnet to achieve a smooth ejection action.

6. Special structure of ejector cylinder

In some special molds, the ejector cylinder may adopt a special structural design to meet the complex product requirements. For example, in some complex-shaped plastic parts, the ejector cylinder needs to cooperate with inclined guide pillars, sliders and other mechanisms to complete demoulding.

There are various types of ejector cylinders for injection molding machines, including floating ejector cylinders, fixed ejector cylinders, dual-cylinder ejector systems, combined ejector cylinders, and hydraulic cylinder-driven ejector systems. These types of ejector cylinders are selected and designed according to the specific needs of the mold and the complexity of the demoulding action.
